By visiting hyphen.in (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms. The Site, all writing on it, and the Hyphen name and mark are operated and owned by Hyphen Journal Pvt. Ltd., a company registered in Bengaluru, India. We may update these Terms from time to time; the date above will change when we do.
You agree not to use the Site to harvest content, run automated scrapers, or interfere with normal operation. You may quote and link freely for non-commercial purposes, with attribution.
Subscriptions are billed quarterly or annually, in advance, in the currency selected at checkout. Renewals are automatic unless you cancel from your account. We will email you a renewal notice fourteen days before each charge.
Print subscriptions include all four quarterly issues for the term selected. Shipping is included within India; international shipping is included for surface mail and chargeable as an upgrade for air mail.
If you cancel within fourteen days of starting a new subscription, we will refund you in full. After fourteen days, we will refund the unused portion of any annual subscription, prorated by issues not yet shipped.
Single-issue purchases and books from the Hyphen bookshop are not refundable once dispatched, unless they arrive damaged. Damaged copies are replaced free of charge.
All translations published in Hyphen are copyright the translator and the original author. Hyphen retains first-publication rights in English for six months from each issue's release; after that, all rights revert.
You may not reproduce, redistribute, or republish Hyphen content without written permission from the translator, the author, and the editors. We are usually happy to grant permission for non-commercial and educational use — write to permissions@hyphen.in.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. Sharing a paid subscription account is allowed within a single household; sharing beyond that is not.
We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms, or that show signs of fraudulent payment. We will write to you before doing so, where we can.
